Dakar Annie Seel "Riding in a bag of flour"

Swedish Dakar rally rider Annie Seel reports from the bivouac in Antofagasta, Chile:

"I´ve had a really difficult day today, the right hand with my injured thumb is not working at all.
Yesterday evening I got some electro-treatment, anti-inflamatory substances and pain reliefers, but it´s not really working. When driving, the thumb is not reacting when it should, it´s kind of numb when trying to break or steer. Trying to keep it on top of the handle bar, but in the terrain we are riding it´s hard.

The entire track today was in fesh-fesh, like riding in a bag of flour, so dusty, so hard to distinguish just about anything, and it seems as if some of the dust went into the engine, repeatedly the engine came to a stop, and I had to cleanse the filter and try to restart it each time. Since the electrical starter wouldn´t work it I had to kickstart it at the same time starting with the electrical engine, and for those who knows me, or have seen me, I am not that tall, and everytime the engine stopped I needed to find a rock, stone or else to stand on so that I could reach over to kick. Loosing a lot of time today.

Now I will head over to my team and see what they say, if we need to change the engine or if it´s alright"
