Dakar rally - Ladies Cup - stage 7 - winner Annie Seel

On the seventh stage Swedish Dakar rider Annie Seel won her sixth stage win in the Ladies Cup, but was running low on gas and apparently had problems with her ball bearing, according to Magnus Arnalid, who had met her on the course earlier today. Annie just finished the stage on what seems to be an 63rd of the stage. +3h 10min 11sec after winning Despres.

And more of the ladies seems to have had a tough day out there!

The stage was the longest in the 2010 Dakar rally, and the last one before the restday. A special of 600 kilometers, and  total stretch of 641 km, Iquique-Antofagasta, Chile.

Silvia Giannetti from Italy passed the 509 kilometer mark at a potential 73rd position, and seems to be finishing second in the Ladies Cup today! And Yamaha rider Christina Meier third on a 77th in the overall, according to standings on the 448 km mark.

Mirjam Pol has, who is currently second in the Ladies cup, is driving in a much slower pace than seen before in this race, she will supposedly end up on a 80th, when passing the 448 kilometer marking.

British Tamsin Jones seems to have a good day on the track, in a hurry to the finish and restday? Passing the 355 km mark at an 89th position!

The total numbers of motorcycles starting in the 2010 Dakar rally was 156.
This morning there were 99 still in the race.
Of those there were 5 women.

As always! Keep cool - the Dakar is the Dakar!
