And more of the ladies seems to have had a tough day out there!
The stage was the longest in the 2010 Dakar rally, and the last one before the restday. A special of 600 kilometers, and total stretch of 641 km, Iquique-Antofagasta, Chile.
Silvia Giannetti from Italy passed the 509 kilometer mark at a potential 73rd position, and seems to be finishing second in the Ladies Cup today! And Yamaha rider Christina Meier third on a 77th in the overall, according to standings on the 448 km mark.
Mirjam Pol has, who is currently second in the Ladies cup, is driving in a much slower pace than seen before in this race, she will supposedly end up on a 80th, when passing the 448 kilometer marking.
British Tamsin Jones seems to have a good day on the track, in a hurry to the finish and restday? Passing the 355 km mark at an 89th position!
The total numbers of motorcycles starting in the 2010 Dakar rally was 156.
This morning there were 99 still in the race.
Of those there were 5 women.
As always! Keep cool - the Dakar is the Dakar!
