Dakar rally - Tamsin Jones!

Jonesy, Jonesy, Jonsey!

Motorcycle rider Tamsin Jones did start on the last stage of today, moments ago, without a doubt she will reach the finish in Buenos Aires just a few hours from now. I wouldn´t be sure about any of the riders to reach the finish, but Tamsin. And when she does she will have completed her first Dakar rally. Riding in the Desert Rose team, lead by Patsy Quick, who was the first British female to make it through in the motorcycle category.Most certainly Tamsin will be back, knowing now what it´s all about, bitten by the Dakar bug. She will have to come back.  The one thing that strikes you is the mental strenght  Tamsin has shown, a never ending battle and not to give in after all long hours on the course, a determination of few, that´s why she will be back.

Curiosity arises, who is Tamsin, and what does she do besides motorcycling, and the Dakar? Well here it is!

Has completely and utterly mad Springer Spaniel called Austin (Powers) who, incidentally, has been really well-behaved during the Dakar.

Work/ profession: Trax Motor Project and the BMW Off-roading Skills School .

Hobbies and interests: Socialising, travelling, has done running, (elite runner in the London Marathon), snowboarding, downhill mountain biking. On the musical side has played bass guitar with a Ceilidh band- Saving peoples socks without them knowing.

Characteristics: Gutsy, tough, always active, looks for new ventures, a good laugh, good at keeping up with friends and family.
