Australasian Safari Rally - Leg 6

STAGE 6
Norseman-Esperance
SS13-14: 325km

Winners of the day
Car - Lowndes/Weel
Motorcycle - Grabham
Quad - Lawson

The 2010 Australasian Safari Rally is getting closer to the end, only one more leg and the finishing line will be passed by the winners in each of the categories. Todays stretch was 325 km and quite different from previous days. Faster and more varied, with a little bit of everything, sand, dunes, water, salt lakes and more

Biker Ben Grabham will take his third win in the Australasian Safari Rally if he manages to keep the distance to those behind. Only thing to keep him from finishing first would be a technical error. 18 minutes to spare to the lads and ladies behind.

Dakar rally princess Annie Seel has been working that rally machine of hers really well. Reaching a 15th position in the overall, and it looks as if she will be reaching her goal by tomorrow, beating last years 16th placing. I´ll definetely keep my fingers crossed!

The experienced riders in Team Husaberg Australia keep impressing once again! All of them are now in the top 20. You can tell they know what  it´s all about. No beginners mistakes here. Man in the lead of Husaberg is, as we´ve seen the other days, David Schwarz who didn´t let anyone down today either. Finishing after todays stage a 4th in the overall. Brazilian rider Ze Helio went on again, showing the followers of the rally he knows how to ride his Husaberg, finishing 4th on the stage and climbing the stairs to the walk of world wide fame. Way to go!
