All three Swedish contestants of the 2011 Dakar rally took off earlier today from Stockholm. And one would have thought by now that previous delays on airports in central Europe due to heavy snow fall would by now be on time... unfortunately not... Turns out that Thomas Berglund and Ronnie Bodinger has a 24-hour delay in Frankfurt. Change of plans! Not flying out of Frankfurt before midnight. Okey, they will have to find something meaningful to do all day tomorrow. Here´s a few options...anything to keep them from going nuts!
Visit Frankfurt Zoo - there are more than 3200 animals here! And said to be the best zoo in western Germany.
The Goethe Haus and museum - the famous German writer was living here, go learn more about him!
The main tower - great scenic spot overlooking Frankfurt.
And when you are ready for dinner, go eat at Leib und Seele, main course at approx 18 EURO, or get the wiener schnitzel for 8 EUR!
Okey guys, short notice, best I could come up with at this hour!
Annie Seel took off a few hours later, heading to Madrid, and so far only an hour delay to start out with. This is what she said before departure and heading towards her fifth Dakar rally.
