The rally starts tomorrow, are you ready for the upcoming challenge?
-Oh yes, finally the bike is in parc ferme, and I feel all set. Aside from not getting enough sleep the last few nights. But now there is really not anything more for me to do at this point. It was a great day today going over the podium in Mar del Plata. The crowd is just really great here in Argentina and very supportive. Can´t really describe the feeling. Just great!
Why didn´t you get enough sleep the last couple of nights?
-Well, the support truck wheel bearing broke completely, and as it turns out it was impossible to find the right spare parts in Argentina for the Dodge RAM. So by the end of the day, my brother came over from Sweden with the correct ones. And that was kind of nerve wrecking and causing a lot of energy in resolving the situation. But we´re all set now.
How will you celebrate New Year´s eve?
-Actually I will try to get some rest, I really need that. The rally takes off tomorrow and we will ride close to 900km and then it´s just continuing...each and every day. But I really would like to send a Happy New year out to each and every one following the Dakar rally and me and hope they celebrate for me as well! Happy new year!
